Kimchi Guys will open in downtown St. Louis in February

Kimchi Guys, a new restaurant from So Hospitality Group (the owners of Drunken Fish), will open on Feb. 1 at 612 N. Second St. in the newly renovated Cutlery Building.

The food will be largely Korean, with dishes like Korean barbecue tacos, bibimbap and spicy barbecue pork sliders. The menu’s centerpiece is going to be a double-fried Korean fried chicken with different flavor options including spicy Korean Buffalo, honey butter and a sweet and spicy Original, made from Korean chili peppers. There will be vegan offerings as well, including plant-based proteins.

“As a Korean-American, I am very excited to introduce Korean cuisine and Kimchi Guys to the wonderful city of St. Louis,” owner Munsok So said in a press release. He plans to donate 100 percent of opening day profits to the St. Louis Regional Chapter of The ALS Association.

Kimchi Guys will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 1. Regular hours have yet to be announced.
