Second location of BeerSauce Shop will open in Sunset Hills

Fans of BeerSauce Shop can now head to South County for their fix of beer, barbecue and bourbon. Co-owner Andrew Tessmer said a second location will open at the end of March at 3880 Lindbergh Blvd. in Sunset Hills.

Tessmer said expanding the business had been in the plans since BeerSauce Shop opened in St. Peters in 2017.

“Since we opened our first spot, [our goal] really was to put a bunch of them in different communities that we think would really get along with our mission of bringing different beers, barbecue sauces, rubs and local whiskeys to the community,” Tessmer said.

The Sunset Hills location, which is a partnership between Tessmer and brothers Danny and Jeff Gustafson, will seat approximately 30 to 40 people. The menu will feature the same offerings as the original location, including over 600 beers and 60 whiskeys available for retail purchase or to be chilled and enjoyed in house, as well as 16 draft beer options.

There’s also an assortment of more than 250 barbecue sauces, hot sauces and rubs, including 100 BeerSauce Shop originals. Those same sauces and rubs are used at the BBQ Bar, which Tessmer said is helmed by a location barbecue competition team. Look for sandwiches with options like smoked pulled chicken or Italian smoked brisket and sides like chili, baked beans and a Tennessee sweet slaw.
