9 Mile Garden announces food truck lineup
Thirty trucks will join the lineup at St. Louis’ first food truck garden. 9 Mile Garden managing partner Brian Hardesty announced today, Feb. 13, that popular trucks like Balkan Treat Box, Farmtruk, Seoul Taco and more will park it twice a week at 9375 Gravois Road in Affton.
Hardesty said there were several reasons why he wanted to partner with this initial roster: “One, the diversity of the lineup. Two, all of these trucks wanted to be a part of it very much, and, three, I like all these trucks,” he said. “Some of them are extremely well known, some are less well known but all are really good quality.”
As Sauce reported in November 2019, 9 Mile Garden is a partnership between Hardesty and Seneca Commercial Real Estate. The space will open in the center of Affton Plaza in late spring or early summer.
In addition to the regular rotation, Hardesty said there will be occasional guest trucks from across the country, including non-food options like fashion and pet treat trucks.
9 Mile Garden will be open for lunch Monday through Saturday and dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Hardesty said the large lineup allows for regular rotation. “That amount allows us to have five trucks for lunch, seven trucks for dinner and nine for special events every day that we’re open,” Hardesty said.
Special events will include outdoor movie screenings and live music, as well as cooking and eating contests, car shows and flea markets. 9 Mile Garden will also feature a large, 150-seat beer garden with over 40 local options on tap.
Hardesty sees 9 Mile Garden as a food truck incubator, allowing the public to discover lesser known and new trucks. The full lineup includes:
