The Clayton Farmer's Market is will be open every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon on North Central Avenue at Maryland. The season runs from May 31 to October 25.
One of a kind, set up as an education market to teach people how to cook with local foods. Chefs give tours and cooking demos as well as host special events. As a total sensory market we have local music, breakfast foods, cooking demos, and organic gardening tips.

Monday July 10th is the first in a series of six farmer-chef cooking classes, Six of St. Louis's top chefs are designing recipes featuring local farmers from Clayton Farmer's Market. Each class includes the featured farmer talking about his farm, the chef preparing tasty dishes using local ingredients, Chalmette Winery pourring wine, recipes, food.....it's a great way to support the farmer's market as well as learning about "where our food comes from" in addition to learning how to prepare it. Classes run from 6:30pm-9:00pm at Viking Cooking Store on Brentwood Ave. Cost is $45 each class and reservations can be made at the Viking Cooking Store or by calling (314) 961-1999.
