Drink This: Winter warmers at Overlook Farm

111809_overlookWhat to do with the kids off school and the relatives lounging on your couch? Load ‘em up and take a day trip to Clarksville. Once you’ve eyed bald eagles during a walk along Riverfront Park and peered through the scopes at the Clarksville Visitors’ Center, check out the après-eagle scene at The Clarksville Station at Overlook Farm.

Executive chef Tim Grandinetti’s new winter drink menu is filled with festive libations like the Dangerously Delicious Fruit Basket (Grand Marnier, apricot brandy, orange and raspberry vodkas, cider sweet cream, cinnamon & Chambord) and the Infamous Clarksville Snow Monkey, which features Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, rum, banana liqueur and hot chocolate sweet cream. For frosty weather traditionalists, there’s eggnog or a hot toddy, but come on the weekend and you can share the rum-spiked cider or hot mulled wine service for two. A mug of warm apple cider or hot chocolate – complete with house-made mini marshmallows – will please the kiddos, especially if they get to thaw out next to the bonfire on the snazzy new patio.
