Drink This Weekend Edition: Raise a glass at The Vino Gallery b-day bash
March 8th 04:03pm, 2013
It’s hard to believe that three years have passed since Rachael Buehrer and Alex Head opened doors to The Vino Gallery in the Central West End. Along with its display of local artwork, the store’s stock of small production wines has given residents and visitors alike many a reason to stop in during a jaunt along Gallery Row. To celebrate the three-year mark, Buehrer and Head are holding a party this weekend and inviting the public to come whoop it up.
The Vino Gallery anniversary bash will take place this Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m., at the shop on 4701 McPherson Ave. The celebration will include tastings of nearly 20 different wines, appetizers, birthday cake, live music and door prizes, including gift certificates and bottles of wine. The event will also showcase the opening of the gallery’s latest art exhibit featuring works by local artist Robert Treece.
Vino’s event is free, as are the food and wine tastings. Thirsty for a larger pour? There will be plenty of wines available by the glass, priced at $8. Find more details about the event here.
