Totally organic

All organic, all the time: Goshen Coffee, based in Edwardsville, is now the area’s first 100 percent organic coffee roaster. Goshen has been an OCIA International-certified organic roaster since 2004. “In 2008 we were 98 percent organic and almost 90 percent fair trade, so we decided that it was a good time to make the change,” said co-owner Matt Herren.

Also in the works for Goshen: online ordering, eco-friendly cups and lids, organic fair-trade syrups, and eventually, chocolate.

Meantime, pick up a bag of Goshen Coffee at 222 Artisan Bakery, Straub’s Market, Local Harvest Grocery, Foundation Grounds, Cose Dolci Bakery, Companion, SweetArt, Market Basket, Green Earth Grocery, Highland Nutrition Center, Bon Vivant Wines, Allison’s Common Scents Shoppe, Dave’s Homebrewing Supplies, William James Trading Co. and Winslow’s Home.
