Art for art’s sake is the name of the game for Sauce in the City.  Not only will talented local artists be on hand, but you will have an opportunity to create your own slice of inner expression.

Running from 3pm-8pm...12-16 recognized local artists will be on hand performing LIVE a collaborative art piece installed adjacent to each side of the music stage. At approximately  8pm, 24x24 piece sections of the entire final piece will be auctioned off to support the local arts. Don't miss this fantastic presentation!

Children's Art Area

It is the Mission of The South City Open Studio and Gallery for Children to provide a safe and educational environment for children to explore the Arts and also to strengthen the ties within the St. Louis neighborhood, its families, and its youth. 

SCOSAG
3pm to 7pm

Activities include:

Free Paint - Large areas of plain white paper for kids big and small to paint whatever
they'd like.

City Collage - A collaborative collage using glue sticks! All types of paper and images from various resources such as National Geographic Magazines will be used. The result being an interesting cityscape perfect for gazing at.

Color Theorist - Using playdough in the primary colors, a SCOSAG artist will be demonstrating how to mix them to create new colors, kids can take home the colors they make or leave them for our rainbow.

Head Band Crown Creations - Using flexible posterboard and varying methods of tissue paper application along with other material. Participants are encouraged to make wearable colorful art.
