The Raging Skillet
Based on the book by Chef Rossi, New York’s first punk-rock, Jewish, Lesbian caterer. When Rossi’s Jewish mother discovers the microwave, home-cooked meals become a thing of the past. What starts as a rebellion against her Orthodox parents, chauvinism in the kitchen, and the pressures of conformity ends with her becoming New York’s #1 punk-rock caterer. This hilarious and heartfelt new comedy is based on the true-life story of Chef Rossi. Talkbacks scheduled after October 14th and October 18th performances.
Directed by Lee Anne Mathews. Cast: Sarajane Alverson, Erin Renee Roberts, Kathleen Sitzer* (*member AEA)
