Falling in Love... in Five Courses

Enjoy a five-course meal and meet celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich at a benefit for students at St. Louis Community College. Bastianich will oversee the meal with help from area chefs Gianni Colucci of Cielo, Casey Shiller of Jilly’s Cupcake Bar and STLCC culinary students. Tickets available online or by phone.

A Taste of Fiction

Join 16 area pastry chefs at the library as they interpret classic works of literature through pastry and enjoy samples of their hard work while you marvel at their creations. Butler’s Pantry will provide savory appetizers, and beer, wine and soda will be available, too. Purchase tickets online.

Midtown Farmers Market

As long as the weather obliges, the first Midtown Farmers Market of the year will return to University City. Look for vendors like Circle B Farms, Elixir Farm and Biver Farms peddling young spring greens and seedlings for your home garden.

St. Louis Public Library Welcomes Celebrity Chef and Author Rick Bayless

St. Louis Public Library welcomes celebrity chef, cookbook author and TV host Rick Bayless to the Central Library’s auditorium to speak as part of SLPL’s Food for Thought: A Month of Culinary Events @ Your Library. Bayless will discuss and sign copies of his books Mexican Everyday and Frontera: Margaritas, Guacamoles and Snacks at this free event.

Lupulin Carnival

Sat., March 28 - 2 to 6 p.m.
1220 S. 8th St., St. Louis

Lupulin Carnival returns to the 4 Hands for its fourth year, heralding the release of Warhammer, the brewery’s Imperial IPA, and celebrating the hop. More than 40 other local and regional breweries will sample their brews under the big top. Sip and savor surrounded by carnival acts, live music and food trucks. Tickets available online.
