Sauce Magazine's Food Truck Friday
It’s your last chance this year to get your fix at Food Truck Friday. Find sangria, Earth Day St. Louis recycling stations, live music from Miss Jubilee, beer sales to benefit Lift for Life Gym and more. If you’re hungry and in a hurry, stop by the Sauce tent for a Speed Pass, which enables holders to use expedited lines for ordering. Come early and bring lawn chairs, blankets, kids and dogs.
Saint Louis Fashion Week
Stalk the catwalk with fellow fashionistas at a plethora of events during Saint Louis Fashion Week. Dozens renowned designers will showcase their latest collections, including Yigal Azrouël, Timo Weiland and Tess Giberson. A daylong conference includes a panel discussion led by New York Fashion Week founder Fern Mallis and featuring Derek Blasberg, editor-at-large for Harper’s Bazaar. New this year: an emerging designer competition during which six local designers will present their collections for a chance to win $15,000. It all starts with a kickoff party Sept. 26. Brew in the Lou
Beer, spirits, wine, coffee and food will be sampled liberally at the Brew in the Lou benefit. Vendors will offer treats by Anheuser-Busch In-Bev, Blue Moon, BBQ ASAP, Cathedral Square Brewery, Charleville Brewing, Excel Brewing, Gobble Stop Smokehouse, Heavy Riff, Kaldi’s Coffee, Menrath Wines, Morgan Street Brewery, Pinckney Bend Distillery, PRP Wine International, Stringbean Coffee Company, Swiss Meat & Sausage Company, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, Wood Hat Distillery and many more. Proceeds raised at this event for the Lutheran Elementary School Association will be matched 4-to-1 by grants. Tickets available online.
Schlafly Farmers Market
Wednesday evenings, part of the Schlafly Bottleworks parking lot transforms into a farmers market brimming with meat, eggs, produce, herbs, baked goods and more. Dozens of vendors are on rotation, including Cool Cow Cheese, Ozark Forest Mushrooms and Black Bear Bakery. New this season: cooking demos by local chefs every third Wednesday of the month.
Midtown Farmers Market
Grab your tote bag each Saturday morning and stuff it with produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, pantry perks and more from local farmers and artisans. Recent vendors on rotation have included Eilerman Bros. Orchards, Elixir Farm, Midwest Lamb and all-natural popsicle peddler Native Pops.
