
SpecialSauce was developed to help burgeoning small businesses that serve the culinary community, to elevate locally grown, fresh food and artisanal craftsmanship, and to promote wellness and local self reliance. It is also intended to highlight the social and economic benefits associated with the conscious decision to support independently owned, local ventures.
We appreciate your interest in our new program. Please complete the following form for consideration. Your nomination forms will be kept confidential. A special grant committee will review the nominations each quarter, make their determinations, contact recipients and announce the grant award recipients on saucemagazine.com.
To qualify for a SpecialSauce advertising grant, you must:
1.) Own or work for a small business directly serving the culinary community.
2.) Business must be in operation no more than (3) years.
3.) Or, incorporate at least (3) locally sourced ingredients into your restaurant fare.
4.) Advertising grant value up to $2500.00. It is not redeemable for cash and must be applied to offset advertisement costs in Sauce magazine - print & online channels. Ad cycle may be extended at Publisher's discretion. Additional media partners may be considered to extend visibility to other independent media outlets at Publisher's discretion. Recipient to be notified in advance in this case.
5.) Occupy a business address within the St. Louis metro area.
6.) Willing to have (1) employee featured in the SpecialSauce 1/4 page ad to run for a period of (2) months in pre-designated quarter per year. The ad will also be featured in the Edible Weekend E-letter to run concurrently with the print ad.
7.) Final ads designed will be provided to each grant recipient for use in other outreach campaigns as deemed appropriate.
