Saint Louis Fashion Week

ALIVE Magazine presents Saint Louis Fashion Week, featuring spring and summer lines from local and national designers. The three days of events include a spring fashion show at the Saint Louis Galleria, a summer and swimwear runway show featuring Viktor Luna, and designer Rebecca Minkoff makes an appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue. St. Louis Earth Day Festival

Sat., April 27 - 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Muny, Forest Park, St. Louis

This free event teaches festival-goers about sustainable products and services offered by local businesses and organizations and introduces area nonprofits that share the mission of Earth Day. Local musical acts and performance arts will be on hand, as well as hands-on educational activities. Local, organic and vegetarian dining options from diverse cuisines will also be available.

Microfest Beer Festival

Fri., May 2 - 6 to 10 p.m., to Sat., May 3 - Noon to 4 p.m.; 6 to 10 p.m.
Upper Muny parking lot, Forest Park, St. Louis

St. Louis Microfest attendees sample international and craft beers at three different sessions during the two-day festival. The weekend's events also include live music, silent auction, food, and live brewer and chef demonstrations. Profits from the event benefit Lift For Life Gym. Tickets available online.

Give STL Day

May 6 - Midnight to 11:59 p.m.

For 24 hours, one website lets St. Louisans donate to more than 500 St. Louis-area nonprofits, from those that fight disease and homelessness to those that celebrate the arts and education. People who donate on May 6 will be entered for prize drawings – as will the participating nonprofits. A complete list of organizations can be found online.

Urbanaire, an annual party, raises funds and awareness for PROMO, a Missouri nonprofit that advocates for LGBT equality. The night includes a VIP reception featuring food from Harvest, Hiro Asian Kitchen, Sugarfire Smokehouse and many more, followed by an upscale party with a DJ and open bars. Tickets available online. Art Fair at Laumeier

This Mother’s Day weekend, 150 artists showcase their wares at Laumeier Sculpture Park. The culinary arts will also be on display with a tasting of Missouri wines, a presentation and tasting with Schlafly and a Sunday brunch by Whole Foods. Brunch tickets available online.

Tower Grove Picnic in the Park

June 1 – 4 to 7 p.m.
Tower Grove Park, St. Loui

Picnic with dozens of your closest friends on the grounds near the Piper Palm House and the Music Stand in Tower Grove Park. Live music, art exhibits, a petting zoo and other children’s activities keep attendees entertained while food trucks and beer vendors keep them satiated.

Schlafly Art Outside

The 11th annual Schlafly Art Outside is a three-day juried alternative art fair featuring work from more than 50 St. Louis-area artists at Schlafly Bottleworks.

Schlafly Farmers Market

Wednesdays through October – 4 to 7 p.m.,
Schlafly Bottleworks, 7260 Southwest Ave., Maplewood

Wednesday evenings, part of the Schlafly Bottleworks parking lot transforms into a farmers market brimming with meat, eggs, produce, herbs, baked goods and more. Dozens of vendors are on rotation, including Cool Cow Cheese, Ozark Forest Mushrooms and Black Bear Bakery. New this season: cooking demos by local chefs every third Wednesday of the month.

Midtown Farmers Market

Saturdays through November – 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The newest farmers market to hit the scene pops up at the historic Market in The Loop. Grab your tote bag each Saturday morning and grab produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, pantry perks and more from local farmers and artisans. Recent vendors on rotation have included Biver Farms, Stringbean Coffee, Red Fox Baking and Baetje Farms.
