Laumeier Sculpture Park’s 31st annual Art Fair will take place May 11 to 13 and features local food and beverage vendors, activities and entertainment for kids and families, live music and, of course, up to 150 artists.

With more than a dozen concessions vendors, the Art Fair has something for everyone. Capitalist Pig and Mission Taco Joint return this year, among others, while new additions to the lineup include Essentially Fries and Blues Fired Pizza. Along with returning beverage favorites like 4 Hands Brewing Co., Schlafly and Noboleis Vineyards, the fair features new vendors like Kaldi’s Coffee and Narwhal’s Crafted Urban Ice.

“I am pretty darn excited to try Narwhal’s,” said Lauren Kistner, director of marketing and communications for Laumeier Sculpture Park. “I’ve heard a lot of good things.”

With attendance of 12,000 to 15,000 in good weather, the Art Fair is Laumeier’s largest event of the year. “It’s definitely a St. Louis Mother’s Day weekend tradition … and is great for families and couples,” Kistner said.

All artists go through an application and jury process; the applications – approximately 400 per year – are scored by a jury, and the top 150 scores garner an invitation to participate.

“We have refined the jury process in more recent years, and 150 is our sweet spot where we feel like we’re inviting a great group of talented artists without being too overwhelming,” Kistner said. “We have the best of the best from across the country … and at least a third are local artists.”

Other fun for the weekend includes carnival entertainment like juggling, as well as live music by Sean Canan’s Voodoo Players, the Melissa Neels Band, Trixie Delight and more.
