1. A Forest Park icon has a new look and taste. Sugarfire Events took over management of The Boathouse at Forest Park late last year with the intention to revitalize the iconic eatery. The new incarnation opened for business on Wednesday, April 25, just in time for patio season.

2. Pig & Pickle has closed its doors. The last day of service was Sunday, May 6. The restaurant, located in the former Atlas Restaurant space at 5513 Pershing Ave., in the DeBaliviere neighborhood, opened in September 2017.

3. With just a couple hot plates and a fridge, Squatter's Cafe chef-owner Rob Connoley and his sous chef Justin Bell produce a constantly evolving breakfast and lunch menu of indulgently good departures from classic dishes prepared from scratch and locally sourced.






4. Sometimes our favorite way to eat salmon is sashimi, but we also love crispy skin. This recipe for Seared Salmon Sushi Bowls has the best of both worlds with a crisp, seared exterior and a rare center.
