Anthony’s Italian Eats, Phil’s Bar-B-Q close this month

Anthony’s Italian Eats in Clayton closed its doors for good Dec. 5, as reported by St. Louis Magazine. The restaurant was open for nine months.

A message on the restaurant's website said: “This project has been a rewarding experience for us and we are grateful to the Clayton community for your support.”

The note also reported that any unused gift certificates will be honored at all Joey B’s locations. The restaurant did not return request for additional comment.

Additionally, after 57 years in the game, beloved Affton eatery Phil’s Bar-B-Q will close at the end of the year.

The family-owned establishment started by Phil Polizzi in 1961 is known for its ribs and wings.

The owners declined to comment, but a sign in front of the restaurant reads: “Closing Dec 30. Retiring. Thank you for 57 years.”
