Saucy Soirée showcases top St. Louis culinary establishments June 23

Enjoy samples of food, wine, brews and spirits from winners of the Sauce Readers' Choice poll at the fifth annual Saucy Soirée from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at the historic Union Station in downtown St. Louis.

Attendees can sample wares from more than 40 Readers' Choice winners, including Yellowbelly, Cinder House, Crown Candy Kitchen, Sasha’s Wine Bars and Planter’s House, while listening to Latin-inspired music from Acoustik Element. Tickets include two complimentary boozy refreshments, and a cash bar will be open throughout the evening.

Publisher and founder of Sauce Magazine Allyson Mace said showcasing the winners of Readers' Choice is important to recognize each business’ hard work.

“These establishments work hard to deliver the best to their guests,” she said. “It’s only appropriate to honor that hard work when their guests and the public in general recognize them in a poll such as ours.”

Those attending the event can pick up a copy of the Readers' Choice issue of Sauce Magazine complete with the full list of winners in categories from favorite barbecue and sushi to favorite cocktails, happy hour and bottle shop. Each year, winners showcase their specialties, bringing something new to each Soirée.

“We feature the best the culinary scene has to offer each year,” Mace said. “That best changes yearly.” Tickets are available online.
