Taste of St. Louis cancels 2020 festival

With its vendors, competitions and events, Taste of St. Louis has long been a staple in the region's late-summer culinary lineup. According to a press release from today, Tuesday, Aug. 18, this year’s festival has been canceled. It had returned to its original home in downtown St. Louis in 2019 after several years in Chesterfield.

“We looked forward to bring together St. Louis’ best local restaurants, with our diverse and dedicated foodies from across the region, to help heal the social and economic wounds this year,” the release said. “Yet, with a priority toward health and profitability for all the small and family-owned restaurants involved, we felt it was better to regroup and refocus on creating an incredible Taste next year.”  

The press release urged fans of the event to text “Foodie” to 72727 to received updates as the production team looks toward next year’s festivities.
