Live music, carnival rides, summer barbecue and more. The city of Chesterfield is excited to present The Country Fair from Thursday, May 19, to Saturday, May 21, at the Fairgrounds at Chesterfield Amphitheater.

“It’s a great way to kick off the summer and a long-awaited event. This was planned in 2020 and delayed, so there’s a lot of excitement and anticipation,” said Jason Baucom, superintendent of arts and entertainment for the city of Chesterfield.

Grammy-nominee Chris Young is headlining the event, along with Jon Pardi and Zach Bryan. “But it’s not just a country music festival, there’s something for everyone,” Baucom said.

The fairgrounds will be divided into distinct areas each with its own unique culinary experience. For example, the Mexican cantina area will be a shady oasis for guests to cool down with margaritas and refuel at the Mission Taco Joint. The Coors Light Honky Tonk will include a mechanical bull, Dalie’s Smokehouse and live music by the Drive by Boys who will perform on the flatbed of a ’63 Chevy pickup truck. Additional food vendors include Sugarfire Smoke House, Chicken Out, Cajun Seduction and more.

“The carnival itself is produced by Fountain City Amusements, and they have great food too,” Baucom said. “All the fair delicacies are made from scratch.” There will be a variety of games and rides for visitors to enjoy, including a large Ferris wheel, a scrambler and flying pink elephants.

The Country Fair will also include a local market. “We’re excited to showcase St. Louis creators, people who are keeping money in the community,” said Baucom.

Tickets are available online. Single-day tickets are $20 and include carnival, concert and festival activity access. Kids 12 and under are free. Three-day passes, VIP packages and more are available too.
