Sip and snack outdoors while staying cozy and warm at these St. Louis businesses

The arctic winds may be blowing full force, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some outdoor cheer this holiday season. Here are a few festive options for a frosty outdoor good time around town.

Angad Arts Hotel
Angad Arts Hotel is all about color, especially for the holidays. This season the hotel’s rooftop bar hosts a trio of igloos sporting colorful interiors, keeping to the theme “Color Your Winter.” In addition to dazzling LED lighting, propane heaters, comfy blankets and expansive views of the city, there’s also a seasonal food and beverage menu available. The igloos can hold groups of up to six guests and will be available through Feb. 28. The rooftop igloos are priced at $75 for weekdays and $100 for weekends with a $100 food and beverage minimum. Reservations are available online. 3550 Samuel Shepard Drive, St. Louis, 314.561.0033, angadartshotel.com

Edera Italian Eatery
The patio at Edera Italian Eatery in the Central West End is now a Winter Garden for the holiday season, with private heated chalets available Monday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. Guests can enjoy some of the best Italian food in town in a cozy Piccolo Chalet, which seats two, or the roomier Grande Chalet, which can accommodate parties of four to eight. Reservations are for two-hour blocks and require a $50 deposit, refunded at the end of service.

The Chalet Pop-Up Bar at Le Meridien St. Louis Clayton
The rooftop terrace at Le Meridien St. Louis Clayton has been temporarily transformed into a European ski lodge, complete with wood pergolas heated with fire pits and heat lamps. Nosh on a special menu with cold weather bites like baked brie and pork belly brochette and comforting drinks like smoked hot chocolate, mulled wine and bourbon hot toddies. To really get into the spirit of things, there’s also a temporary curling rink, available for $50 an hour, that can be booked via OpenTable. The Chalet is open every Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. through the end of February. 7730 Bonhomme Ave., Clayton, 314.863.0400, lemeridienclayton.com

Winterfest
For the seventh year in a row, Winterfest turns Kiener Plaza downtown into a winter wonderland. Through Jan. 1, patrons who want to take a break from myriad Winterfest activities can reserve a heated igloo to warm up and rejuvenate. Reservations are $250 for 1.5 hours and include a parking pass, skate reservations for four and a $50 food credit for some goodies from chef Juwan Rice’s onsite eatery, JR’s Cafe. Igloos are available to reserve on Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 8 p.m. A variety of additional upgrades to the experience are available as well. Kiener Plaza, North Seventh and Chestnut streets, St. Louis, archpark.org

And Then Some...

Several area favorites are also firing up the fire pits and heaters in order to keep their patios open for the holidays. Guests can enjoy a wee dram outside The Scottish Arms, take in the spectacular views of downtown and beyond at Three Sixty's rooftop bar at St. Louis Hilton at the Ballpark or indulge in some good cheer outside at Westport Social at Westport Plaza. McGurk's Irish Pub and Garden also keeps things toasty on its enclosed, heated patio.
