This week on the Sauce podcast: JCMidtown development
This week on the Sauce podcast, Michelle and Meera discuss the JCMidtown development, which is opening several food and drink concepts to help bolster the stretch between downtown St. Louis and Grand Center.
They chat about the three concepts that have already opened. First up is Anita Cafe & Bar, a Lebanese spot that is serving dishes like grilled cauliflower with tahini-garlic sauce, pine nuts and parsley. Owner Anita Abdul-Karim is also mixing up drinks like the Krystal, a cocktail using sparkling wine, flavored with rose and lemon.
Also part of the conversation is Kain Tayo, a Filipino restaurant making traditional Filipino staples like chicken adobo and pancit.
Finally, they talk about a recent visit to Videira Wine Shop & Bar where they tried an espresso martini with a toasted marshmallow garnish, burrata with pepper jelly and a crisp sauvignon blanc.
