Celebrate culinary cannabis culture at the Munchie Market in St. Louis on Labor Day weekend
STL’s Pot Chef’s event takes place at Little Bevo on Sunday, Sept. 1
Not too long ago, we wrote about how cannabis-infused dinners are changing the culinary landscape in St. Louis, and we’re pleased to report increasing numbers of cannabis-related events are continually popping up all over town.
Next up is the Munchie Market, presented by STL’s Pot Chef. Celebrating “the intersection of cannabis culture and culinary creativity,” the event is slated for 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Little Bevo at 4751 Morgan Ford Road in south St. Louis.
“We are excited to host an event that not only celebrates cannabis culture but also supports local entrepreneurs and small businesses,” said Arica Avery, creator of STL’s Pot Chef. “The Munchie Market is a great way for people to come together, enjoy delicious food, have a great time, and make a positive impact on the community.”
The event will feature more than 16 vendors selling a wide array of both infused and non-infused culinary offerings, including vegan options, plus some artisan booths as well. Some of the vendors slated to attend include Mighty Kind, Jugg Juice, Dragon Biscuits, Blazy Bread and Gateway Grub. For the full list of participants, visit stlpotchefs.com.
If you’re wondering whether the new executive order banning hemp-derived, psychoactive cannabis products will affect the event, Avery assures us they are in the clear as the order “only applies to stores and businesses who have a storefront.”
She explained that most of the products will be hemp-derived and all products will be in full compliance with Missouri state laws. “The majority of our vendors are legal cannabis patients and/or licensed primary caregiver cultivators, who incorporate homegrown cannabis in their offerings, following all state regulations for personal cultivation and use,” Avery said.
There will also be some raffles with offerings including Cardinals tickets, gifts from sponsors, and a pair of tickets to Maxwell: The Serenade Tour on Oct. 13. A free 360 photo booth sponsored by Beam Photos & Production will be available for attendees to capture the moment.
“Little Bevo has a pool table so people can relax, grab some food, infused honey, butter, candles then play a game of pool or grab a drink at the full bar,” Avery said.
Tickets are available online and general admission includes access to the event, plus an infused shot upon arrival. VIP tickets include a party bus pickup from downtown St. Louis at Hotel Lumiere and Union Station, as well as a ride back to downtown from the VIP-only after-party at Cola Lounge. VIP tickets also include priority entry to the event, a complimentary pre-roll, complimentary soft drinks and beer, a complimentary dab from the St. Louis Cannabis Lounge, and a special VIP goodie gift bag from the event sponsors. “The after party at the Cola Lounge will be a game night with some of the classic games from childhood with a dope twist and vibe to some music,” Avery said.
