3 Tower Grove South restaurants are closing this weekend
There are a few days left to go to Black Sheep, Three Little Monkeys and Mama 2’s Biscuits
Mary and Zach Rice, the team behind three Tower Grove South concepts on Morgan Ford Road, announced on social media that all three restaurants will be closing after final services this weekend.
“With the heaviest and broken of hearts we have made the impossible choice to close our beloved restaurants, Black Sheep, Three Little Monkeys & Mama 2’s Biscuits,” the post states. “This decision did not come lightly; it came after years, months, & days of conversation, reflection, and trying to figure out how to make this work.”
The team had been part of the Morgan Ford community since 2007, according to the post, and, “When we took ownership in 2018, it was like coming home again. We were able to survive the pandemic, renovations, rebranding, reopening, creating new concepts and opening another location – we brought new life to the street and completed our restaurant family. Unfortunately, we can’t sustain any longer.”
The post went on to state that the owners know small businesses owners in the hospitality industry all across the country are struggling. “ The costs of operations are extremely high & unforgiving, all while the economy & dining habits have changed and no longer align with what we need to open the doors every day. We wish it were different. We have put so much of our hearts and lives into these restaurants, and we are heartbroken to be walking away; but it has become clear that we just cannot financially move forward.”
“This isn’t goodbye for us – but more of a see you late,” the post continued. “Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives. Thank you for letting us feed you, serve you a beer and celebrate with you.”
You can still stop in at all three of the concepts this weekend for a final meal and drink. See the social media post for full details.
