Earthbound Beer on Cherokee Street is closing permanently
After 10 years of serving the St. Louis community, Earthbound Beer at 2724 Cherokee St. in St. Louis has announced it will close for good in December.
“We opened with very little capital and the idea that we would run Earthbound as an experiment in nanobrewing, a relatively new concept in 2014,” said Stuart Keating, listed as president of beer in a release. “The experiment has run its course, after ten years we re-assessed and decided we wanted to do different things.”
The brewery did a lot of impressive things over the course of its 10 years, which Sauce covered extensively.
Co-founder Jeff Siddons also weighed in on the closure. “We are very proud of the work we have done, and we are honored to have been a part of so many people’s lives,” he said. “We love Cherokee Street and we are supremely jazzed that we were able to renovate a piece of St. Louis brewing history and show it to people from around the world.”
Business will continue as usual until the brewery closed after service on Dec. 8. There will be a 10th anniversary celebration on Nov. 22, though it seems it will feel more like a going away party.
“We have had a lot of fun making beer, and we have loved being part of a big beautiful community in Saint Louis, not just all the bars and restaurants that we have worked with but the many community groups and nonprofits we have partnered with,” said head brewer Danielle Snowden
