Join the Kemper Art Museum in celebrating the opening of the spring exhibitions and the new lower level galleries.

Multiplied: Edition MAT and the Transformable Work of Art, 1959–1965 presents a dynamic snapshot of experimental art in the post–World War II era with more than 100 multiples—three-dimensional artworks issued in editions—that comprised Edition MAT, Swiss artist Daniel Spoerri’s pioneering project of transformable artworks that could be altered optically, mechanically, or by touch.

In the Teaching Gallery exhibition, Truths and Reckonings: The Art of Transformative Racial Justice, guest curator Geoff Ward explores how art, archives, and museums can contribute to transitional justice by confronting histories of racist violence and their legacies today.

In the Video Gallery, Tomás Saraceno: Aerocene Tata Inti – Event Horizon – Aerocene, Launches at White Sands documents launches of artist Tomás Saraceno’s Aerosolar sculptures in Argentina, Bolivia, and the United States.

Additional new galleries on the Museum's lower level feature works on paper and ancient Greek vessels from the permanent collection.
