Mardi Gras is right around the corner and The Anheuser-Busch Biergarten will be the perfect place to begin the celebrations in St. Louis. Guests will be transported to New Orleans as they enter The Biergarten to enjoy a night of Mardi Gras-inspired cuisine and live entertainment.

“Mardi Gras is a long-standing St. Louis tradition so we’re inviting guests to an authentic experience at The Anheuser-Busch Biergarten,” said Scott Smith, manager of Brewery Experiences. “We will be transforming our lobby into a Mardi Gras themed hall and transporting guests to New Orleans, complete with a classic Cajun dinner, delicious Anheuser-Busch beer and live jazz music.”

The Mardi Gras Beer Pairing Dinner will take place on Friday, February 21, kicking off the first of many beer and food pairing dinners at The Biergarten this year. Guests will go on a 2-hour culinary journey to New Orleans featuring four Cajun dishes expertly paired with Anheuser-Busch beers, including Bud Light Seltzer Lemon Lime, Estrella Jalisco, Blue Point Toasted Lager and Budweiser Jim Beam Black Lager. As they say in N’awlins, “Laissez les bons temps rouler!” or “Let the good times roll!”

Pairings include:

• Alligator Bites
Choice alligator tail marinated and lightly breaded, then fried ‘til golden brown served with a creole citrus aioli.
*Paired with Bud Light Seltzer Lemon Lime

• Gumbo
Packed with Shrimp and Andouille Sausage, this is our take on the Louisiana classic Cajun soup.
*Paired with Estrella Jalisco

• Crawfish Étouffée
Sautéed crawfish tail with garlic, onions, celery and peppers in a Cajun sauce on top of a bed of long grain white rice.
*Paired with Blue Point Toasted Lager

• Bread Pudding
Challah bread mix with a sweet vanilla custard and topped with a hot buttered Plantation Dark Rum sauce.
*Paired with Budweiser Jim Beam Black Lager

No Mardi Gras celebration is complete without live music. Guests will enjoy live jazz music from featured band Zydeco Crawdaddies during their dining experience. Ticketed guests will also be gifted ‘throws’ - Mardi Gras themed party favors - while at dinner, including themed masks, beads and more.
