St. Louis Chamber Chorus Concert - Grief
Join the St. Louis Chamber Chorus as we return to a favorite venue for choral music, the beautiful St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, just north of downtown, for a program specifically created for its acoustics and traditions. The focus of the concert is the “Passion Week” of Maximilian Steinberg, a forgotten Russian masterpiece that was suppressed by the Soviets but has recently been rediscovered. A harmonically rich madrigal by Roxanna Panufnik complements Steinberg’s piece as well as our venue’s Polish heritage, and motets by the Bulgarian wunderkind, Dobrinka Tabakova, receive their first Midwest hearing.
Tickets $30, Students $10
