Sneak Peek: Half & Half

053111_halfnhalfWhen Michael Randolph, owner of Midtown’s The Good Pie, whipped up some of the dishes that would be served up at Half & Half, his new Clayton breakfast and lunch destination, for our Guide to Entertaining, he left us drooling for more – and dying for his restaurant, located at 8135 Maryland Ave., to open. The long-awaited day has arrived and Randolph and his team did not disappoint. Half & Half opened its doors this morning and we were excited to get a sneak peek.     A few of my colleagues and I gave Half and Half a whirl on opening day. We went there for lunch and although we were seated promptly and our orders were taken promptly it took approximately 45 min to get our food. When the food did arrive it was very tasty and I enjoyed it very much, but then again I was starved by the time it arrived. I hope it was because it was their first day.. Otherwise I would advise 2 things. 1) Don’t go there if you only have an hour lunch (ours took 90 min.) 2) Head out for lunch when you are not hungry, by the time you are served you will be.
