It’ll be bar business as usual at Monarch when Ted Kilgore leaves the Maplewood restaurant for Niche Taste Bar, set to open in July. “We already have such a well-trained staff,” said Monarch co-owner Jeff Orbin. “We’re going to promote from within.” Kilgore, St. Louis’ only master mixologist, will consult as needed, Orbin said.
