Operation Food Search's Cooking Matters at the Store Tour
Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will hold a Cooking Matters at the Store® Tour Event Day on Sat., May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The 20-minute self-guided interactive grocery store tour shows local families and individuals how to make healthy, affordable shopping choices.
The tour is funded through Newman’s Own Foundation, which provides grants to support initiatives that increase access to fresh food and nutrition education in underserved communities.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will offer tours of the supermarket’s produce, bakery, meat, and dairy departments. Participants will receive a $10 grocery gift card upon tour and brief survey completion.
