INGREDIENTS

6 oz. semisweet chocolate, broken into pieces
2 cups whole milk

PREPARATION

• Place the chocolate in a bowl.
• In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil over medium-high heat, then remove it from the heat and pour it over the chocolate. Immediately cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rest 5 minutes.
• Uncover, stir to combine and pour into mugs.

If you wish to spike your hot chocolate, pick one of the following variations and thoroughly stir in the additional ingredients before serving.

Bittersweet Flourless Torte
2 oz. Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur
2 oz. Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur

Banana Butter Rum
2 oz. creme de banane
2 oz. rum

Peppermint Truffle
2 oz. peppermint schnapps
2 oz. Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
