Although we weren’t old enough to watch The Price Is Right when it first hit the airwaves in black-and-white in 1956, we do admit to wasting many an afternoon in the ’70s with Bob Barker and the TPIR models (mostly the models). We also got pretty good at guessing the prices of everything from dish soap to new cars, a talent that has come in handy ever since. We’ve never watched the show since Drew Carey took over a few years back. Nothing against Drew, but, well, we’ve moved on. But next Monday, June 7, will be different because St. Louis’ own Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Co.‘s I Love Chocolate gift basket will be one of the prizes crazed contestants will bid on. The lucky bidder will take home (if he or she can resist that long) a chocolate lover’s dream collection of caramel popcorn drizzled with milk chocolate, chocolate-dipped licorice, premium truffles, nonpareils, milk- and dark chocolate-covered graham crackers, gourmet double-dipped malted milk balls, and milk and white chocolate mini pretzels. Want the I Love Chocolate basket for yourself without all the haggling and stress of the show (which airs at 11 a.m. on CBS, KMOV, Channel 4 locally)? Order one through Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate’s Web site or pick one up at any of the confectionery’s eight area stores. And at $49.95, the price is always right for this treat.
