Eckert's Pick-Your-Own Apples Credit: Eckert's

Like it or not, the fall vibes are upon us. Eckert’s Farm has just announced pick-your-own apple season has arrived at both its Belleville and Grafton farms located at 951 S. Green Mount Road and 20995 Eckert Orchard Road, respectively.

Currently, just the Maia variety of apples are ripe and ready for picking, but numerous other types of apples will be available over the coming weeks, including Gala, Honeycrisp (our personal fave), Pixie Crunch and many more.

Jonathan, Red Delicious and Golden Delicious varieties will become available at the Millstadt location at 2719 Eckert Orchard Lane in early September, with even more varieties to choose from at all three locations as the seasons progress.

“Fall is always the busiest time of the year at Eckert’s Farm and pick-your-own apples is a great way to kick it off,” Eckert’s President Chris Eckert said in a release. “We pride ourselves as being the largest pick-your-own farm in the nation and live up to that reputation by offering 13 different varieties of apples for guests to choose from between now and late October.”

You can pick your own apples from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday by purchasing a field access pass, then paying per pound for your apples. Pricing varies by location and variety of apple, so check in with your preferred farm before heading out – or just wing it, because who can put a price on enjoying the autumnal ambiance with your loved ones?
