021510_BissingersFor chocolate-lovers in the CWE, life just got a bit sweeter. An expansion of Bissinger’s: A Chocolate Experience there had a soft opening last Friday evening, media contact Jeannine Manning told us, with a grand opening tentatively set for early March.

How much has Bissinger’s seating capacity increased? “Doubled,” Manning said. “And with outdoor seating, which we are so thrilled about, we’ve tripled. The outdoor seating area that we can tap into is larger than what we had previously, so we will be able to have larger parties for special events, which is wonderful.”

With a laugh, reflecting on the weather, she added, “Not at the moment.”

New features include “banquette seating, which will enable us to squeeze in a larger group,” Manning said. “We also have a fireplace that we’ve added with some fabulous stone. We have expanded our cases as well, so we’ll have a little bit more to showcase, which will be great.”

Bissinger’s now also has a wine wall featuring “a really pretty, fascinating piece of art,” she noted. “It’s a really creative way to display the wine.” And even more changes will come soon, Manning said: “We’ll have a new menu that we’ll be publicizing probably more in April and a separate wine list.”
