062311_noshPaula Anderson is reincarnating her bistro, Nosh, at Starr’s in Richmond Heights. Nosh was open less than a year in downtown Maplewood when the loss of a lease and Anderson’s heath issues forced her to close the restaurant, as The Scoop reported in late April. Bud Starr, owner of Starr’s, a wine shop at 1135 S. Big Bend Blvd., called the move a “perfect match” due to the bistro-wine combination. In fact, Starr said he will be working with Anderson to develop the wine list for the lunch and dinner eatery. Starr has also given Anderson free rein to use the organic garden located behind the property.

Nosh’s entrance means the exit of Las Brisas, a Mexican restaurant that operated inside Starr’s for just five weeks, as reported by St. Louis Magazine’s George Mahe. Starr referred to the occupation of Las Brisas at his wine store as an “ill-fated venture.”  Look for Nosh to open doors soon after July 4, according to Starr.
