11811_sandwichLooking to grab some fresh fare fast? For the locals in Valley Park – or those who find themselves just passing through – John Bellchamber hopes you’ll stop in at his new eatery, JB Goods. Located at 2961 Dougherty Ferry Road, in a spot formerly occupied by Quiznos, you’ll soon find a wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups, hot sides and more. JB Goods will also carry locally prepared products such as Gus’ Pretzels, Old Vienna Chips and Vess sodas. “We are featuring as many local items as we can, and all bread will be baked on The Hill and delivered fresh daily,” said Bellchamber, who noted that he hopes to also feature gluten-free bread in the near future.

Bellchamber is no stranger to the restaurant business. He has worked in the industry since he was 19 years old, including 16 years as an assistant manager at various Ruby Tuesday restaurants in town (“I opened them all,” he said.), a short stint at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Ballwin, and most recently as a kitchen manager at Brickhouse Tavern & Tap in Chesterfield. JB Goods, however, is the first place of his own.

JB Goods will be open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Bellchamber expects to open doors the second week of February.
