The next Sauce Food Truck Friday of the season takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, in Tower Grove Park. The most notable aspect of this particular event is that Stray Rescue of St. Louis will be on-site with adoptable dogs and puppies in celebration of National Dog Month. As usual, we’ll have about 20 trucks parking it that day, and here we’re spotlighting six trucks you can look out for.

Doughboy’s Wood Fired Pizza
Known for their freshly wood fired pizzas and plethora of toppings, Doughboy’s will be offering specialty pizzas such as sweet heat chicken, featuring garlic chicken, pineapple, red onion, green peppers, and their sweet heat sauce; and the Doughboy’s club, with ranch, garlic chicken, bacon and tomato. Classic pies such as supreme or Buffalo chicken will also be offered. For those not in the mood for pizza, Doughboy’s will be making quesadillas with your choice of fillings. Soda and bottles of water will also be available.

G Burrito
This truck will have beef or chicken burritos, quesadillas and nachos, which can be ordered plain or fajita-style, adding tomatoes, onions and bell peppers. Street tacos are also available, with cilantro, onion, and your choice of carne asada, chicken, or al pastor in three handmade corn tortillas.

Clara B’s Kitchen Table
With a stacked menu of Southern food, Clara B’s will have classics such as shrimp and grits, a spicy honey chicken biscuit, and bacon mac and cheese, along with some new creations like Frito pie taquitos and a smoked honey pork belly roll. As a vegetarian option, Clara B’s will have a tomato and watermelon salad with cornbread croutons. For a drink option, watermelon-strawberry lemonade will be offered.

Treaux’s Cajun BBQ
Mixing barbecue and Cajun dishes into a perfect pairing, Treax’s will have offerings such as a pork or chicken sandwich, a jambalaya bowl, a red beans and rice bowl, and Cajun-style tacos and nachos. Sides include potato salad and coleslaw, and their sweet and simple kettle corn for dessert.

Honey Bee Tea
Hoping to help everyone in the park cool off in the August heat, Honey Bee Tea will be bringing a long list of drinks this Friday, including milk teas, fruit teas, signature teas, kids drinks, coffee and more. Flavors include their sweet garden, golden pineapple, sunrise strawberry galaxy, and honeydew kiwi.

Scoops of Joy
Striving to bring every customer a little bit of joy in every scoop of their freshly made ice cream, Scoops of Joy will have flavors such as Tahitian vanilla, truffle chocolate, lemon cheesecake, and butter salted caramel, to name a few. Additionally, they will be bringing flavored cones such as midnight vanilla, lavender matcha, and red velvet to make every bite just a little more joyful.

In addition to the food trucks, there will be beverages for sale, including frozen drinks from Narwhal’s Crafted, a selection of beer from 4 Hands Brewing Co. and cannabis seltzers from Mighty Kind. Local band Russo and Co. will be performing live music. For the full lineup, visit saucefoodtruckfriday.com.
