The southeast corner of Manchester Road and Sutton Boulevard has had some trouble finding its footing the last few years, but Mike McLaughlin of Maplewood favorite The Crow’s Nest and his merry band have transformed the nearby location 7376 Manchester Road into Blind Tiger, a restaurant, whiskey joint and event venue.
A distinct rock ‘n’ roll vibe is evident with a stage, a black leather banquette and dark brocade wallpaper, and McLaughlin and partners Mike Jones and Kelly Jurotich have created a menu to match. Jackson Noon, who worked with McLaughlin at The Bleeding Deacon, is running the kitchen after returning from the West Coast. Katy Romine will manage the bar, which will focus on local beers on tap and by the bottle, as well as more whiskey options than you can shake a tiger at.
Blind Tiger will host a ticketed grand opening Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. with a tasting of the entire menu, as well as whiskey and beer tastings. Regular operating hours will be Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with plans to launch lunch service.
After you’ve picked up your tickets, take a peek at what you’ll sample on our Facebook page.
