After 19 years serving the St. Louis area, Boogaloo at 7344 Manchester Road in Maplewood, known colloquially as “the bar with the swings,” has announced via social media “with a heavy heart” that it will be closing permanently after service on June 15. Until then, the Cuban restaurant will open at 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
“Come up and show the staff your support and wish everyone well on our future endeavors,” the post states. “I’d like to thank the Maplewood community, Mid-County Chamber of Commerce and the dozens of employees that have worked here over the years that have made Boogaloo a family. …
“Swing on by one last time to celebrate the years of memories we’ve had as we reflect in our final days. It’s been a swinging good time; farewell to all.”
