Truck Norris, a popular St. Louis food truck that has had a notable presence at Sauce Food Truck Fridays in years past, is in jeopardy after a devastating crash left both the vehicle and its future in limbo.

Todd Norris, owner of Truck Norris, was struck by another driver who allegedly ran a red light while exiting Highway 70 at Natural Bridge last week. The crash totaled the food truck that has been the backbone of Norris’ locally owned business for the past eight years. Now, with the truck out of service and insurance proceedings expected to take time, Norris is reaching out to the community for support.

“The truck is what is keeping my small business afloat as we build for the future with the restaurant. Now we have lost that, and I am worried,” he wrote on a GoFundMe campaign. “From lost wages for our business, our staff, and some medical bills, to hopefully a truck replacement. I’m afraid with how long insurance can take on a matter this large that it will be forever before I can rebuild.”

Funds raised will help cover immediate business expenses, staff wages, medical costs, and eventually, a replacement food truck. As of press time, the fundraiser was about $1,000 shy of its goal. You can also support the team by visiting their brick-and-mortar location Truck Norris Twisted Eats at 15856 Clayton Road in Ellisville.
