Summer is almost over, but that doesn’t mean patio season has to end with it. There’s a crisp chill in the air, and Le Meridien St. Louis Clayton is bringing outdoor dining to its terrace for the first time with La Vie al Fresco, a seasonal experience launching Monday, Sept. 1. The program will run weekdays from 4 to 8 p.m. through Oct. 31, offering guests of Café la Vie the chance to enjoy food and drinks on the beautiful patio of the hotel with plenty of city skyline views.

The terrace will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a special menu of five small plates alongside full bar service. Dishes include braised pork belly tartine with sourdough and apple butter, house-made salt and vinegar chips with French onion dip, island-spiced braised pork “Wellington” with tropical fruit relish, artichoke and Boursin croquettes with hazelnut romesco, and local Baetje Farms goat cheese in a savory tart shell with raspberry jalapeno jam.

“La Vie al Fresco is all about creating a relaxed, approachable way for guests to enjoy the best of Café la Vie in one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in Clayton,” said Danielle Minninger, director of marketing at Le Meridien St. Louis Clayton. “It’s a perfect way to ease into fall, great food, a cocktail in hand, and an open view of the city.”

The terrace will be open weather permitting, and guests can check in at the bar or host stand at Café la Vie for daily availability. No reservations are required.
