After more than two years, Le Méridien St. Louis Downtown will welcome guests back to its historic Pine Street property on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with a new restaurant and an updated take on the downtown hotel.
The 96-room boutique hotel, located at 1019 Pine St., temporarily closed in January 2024 after a burst sprinkler pipe caused significant water damage. Following restoration, the hotel is reopening with refreshed guest rooms and public spaces while retaining the architectural character of the 1913 building.
Guests will also find Longitude Bar, which serves specialty espresso beverages and gelato, as well as Pine Street Social Kitchen & Wine Bar, a new signature restaurant slated to open later this month.
Pine Street Social will offer a modern take on American cuisine in a polished but approachable setting. The menu will include dishes such as short rib ragu pappardelle, bourbon-brined pork chops, Cornish hen and a signature burger topped with bacon jam and pimento cheese. The dining room will feature wood millwork, marble surfaces and white linens, while the wine list will include selections across a range of styles and price points. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
The hotel sits in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of the Gateway Arch, Busch Stadium and Enterprise Center and just steps from the America’s Center Convention Complex.
The property combines Le Méridien’s European-inspired design with the historic details of its 1913 building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The restoration preserves the building’s early 20th-century character while updating the property for contemporary travelers.

We’re incredibly excited to see guests walking through these doors again.”
The hotel’s 96 guest rooms feature clean lines, warm finishes, plush bedding, spacious work areas and modern amenities. Additional amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, valet parking and complimentary Wi-Fi for Marriott Bonvoy members.
Le Méridien also offers more than 1,200 square feet of meeting and event space, with room for groups of up to 100 guests.
General Manager Todd Curry said the reopening marks a new chapter for the property and its return to the downtown community.
“We’re thrilled to welcome guests back and reintroduce this historic hotel to the downtown community,” Curry said.
