A new Tre Cuori Gelateria & Acai location will open in Clayton at the beginning of 2027. The flagship Ellisville store, located at 15877 Fountain Plaza Drive, will be joined by the new spot at 42 N. Central Ave, Clayton, between January and February of next year.
The Clayton location will have a larger space and an open design that will allow guests to watch gelato and acai bowls being prepared, as well as a larger display case with space for 24 flavors of gelato, including beloved classics and flavors created specifically for Clayton.
The new Clayton space homes in on the cozy, family-friendly atmosphere the team has created in Ellisville and will have an added dedicated play area for children.
“The larger kitchen will also help us meet the growing demand for our wholesale program and expand our partnerships with local restaurants,” owner Tassia Vicentin Rezende said. “We are especially proud to have provided all the gelato for Katie’s Pizza for the past 12 months, including developing exclusive flavors for their special dinners and events. More recently, we also began partnering with Gamlin’s, where guests can enjoy their beautiful affogato made with our Fior di Latte gelato.”
Vicentin Rezende and her family opened Tre Cuori in 2022 as a way to bring authentic flavors that Vicentin Rezende grew up with to St. Louis. Her grandfather is from Italy, and Vicentin Rezende herself is originally from Brazil. When she moved to St. Louis 13 years ago, she struggled to find true representations of the food she knew and loved.
“The idea of creating something that was Italian but also has Brazilian roots really inspired me to open Tre Cuori,” she said. She uses those authentic Italian gelato and Brazilian acai recipes to give a taste of her heritage to the place she now calls home. “After four years, customers understand the spirit of our business.”
The Ellisville menu, which will expand in Clayton, currently includes 18 different gelato flavors, acai bowls, coffee, sweets like macarons and tiramisu, and savory items such as crispy Brazilian cheese and chicken coxinha, a Brazilian street food.
“It’s a great community that we’ve found in the Ellisville store, and we’re excited to have that in Clayton,” Vicentin Rezende said.
