Pop Pop Hurray is preparing to close its Ferguson location after six years in business, announcing Wednesday, Nov. 11, as its final day.

The popcorn shop, located at 256 S. Florissant Road, opened in October 2020 and has since become part of the Ferguson community, serving customers during celebrations, milestones and everyday visits.

“This is not the announcement we ever imagined making, and certainly not an easy decision,” the business shared in an announcement.

Pop Pop Hurray cited challenges faced by small businesses and the need to make difficult decisions about its future, team and long-term growth as factors behind the closure.

“While closing this location is bittersweet, we believe it’s a necessary step toward building a stronger Pop Pop Hurray,” the company stated.

However, the business emphasized that the Ferguson closure does not mean Pop Pop Hurray is going away. Its City Foundry STL and Downtown St. Louis locations will remain open.

“Pop Pop Hurray is NOT closing,” the announcement clarified.

The company is inviting customers to visit the Ferguson shop during its final days to share memories and say goodbye.

“Ferguson will always hold a special place in our hearts,” the business wrote, thanking customers and families who supported the location over the past six years.

Pop Pop Hurray’s final day at 256 S. Florissant Road will be Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

“This isn’t the end of Pop Pop Hurray. It’s the beginning of our next chapter,” the company said.
