Clementine’s Creamery, located at 1637 S. 18th St., in Lafayette Square, opens Saturday, May 16.
Owner Tamara Keefe at the entrance to her new ice cream shop, Clementine’s.
The 550-square-foot shop serves up boozy “naughty” flavors and non-alcoholic “nice” flavors of ice cream. Clementine’s ice cream is made with cream from Meadowvale Dairy in Illinois and Pacific Valley Dairy in Missouri.
A large chalkboard menu overhead the day’s offerings, including several seasonal options like olive oil lemon verbena and Key lime pie.
No time to sit and enjoy a cone? Grab a pint to go; 30 “naughty” and “nice” flavors will be available in a freezer.
A small fenced patio behind the shop offers an additional 10 seats.
Ice cream can be served in a house-made waffle cone or bowl. Here, strawberry balsamic shares a cone with Midnight Pleasures, an ultra-dark chocolate creation make with three different African chocolates.
