Dalie’s Smokehouse, the newest member of the Pappy’s Smokehouse restaurant family, opened doors June 30 at 2951 Dougherty Ferry Road in Valley Park.

The counter-service eatery, which formerly housed Squeaker’s BBQ & Bar, seats 75 inside and another 35 on the patio.
Ribs feature prominently at all Pappy’s restaurants. At Dalie’s, a full slab is coated with sweet-tangy Papa Joe’s Original sauce and served with sides like house-made pit beans, mustardy potato salad or crunchy Missoula slaw.
Co-owner Skip Steele resurrected a decades-old chicken recipe for Dalie’s. Here, a half-bird is slathered in sweet-hot cranberry cayenne sauce and served with chipotle-spiked mac-n-cheese and pit beans.
Fried Fire and Ice Pickles and golf ball-sized hush puppies studded with corn, black pepper and jalapeno are among 11 side options.
Seven hefty sandwiches are available, including the BBQ Roast Beef: smoked and thinly sliced top round dipped in gravy made with barbecue drippings.
Dalie’s Cubano sees pulled pork, ham, Swiss and thick pickles stacked between slices of Cubano bread smeared with mustard before being griddled on the flattop.
