Mission Taco Joint will open its 9th location in Town & Country in late 2023

Mission Taco Joint has announced plans to expand to West County later this year. Their newest location will bring the eatery’s signature West Coast-style street food concept to Clayton Village Shopping Center at 1000 Woods Mill Plaza in Town & Country.

The 7,500-square-foot location will feature a 160-person restaurant and bar, decorated in the colorful and energetic aesthetic that Mission Taco Joint customers have come to know and love from their other locations. The Town & Country restaurant will also feature a private event space with seating for up to 72 people.

The new location’s design concept is led by St. Louis based architecture firm, Space Architecture + Design. The firm is behind the design of several of the restaurant’s other locations, including their Kirkwood and Soulard eateries. The decision to expand to Town & Country was something that had been of interest to the local chain’s owners, brothers Jason and Adam Tilford, for a while, it was just a matter of finding the right place.

“We’ve been looking for a location in West County for some time now, and we really liked the synergy that all the other restaurants in the area had, especially all the locally owned establishments,” Adam Tilford said. “There’s nothing like Mission Taco Joint in the area so we felt we could bring something new to the already great dining options.”

Mission Taco Joint’s Town & Country location will join other restaurants in the area including Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria, Marcella’s Mia Sorella, Cooper’s Hawk and Napoli 2. This year is on course to be a year of growth for the taco eatery. In addition to the Town & Country location, the eatery also launched a concession stand at Busch Stadium, an arcade and event space at their St. Charles location, and plans are in the works to open a location in Leawood, Kansas.

The Town & Country restaurant will feature all the menu items that customers love to order at their other locations, including tacos and burritos, as well as appetizers like the street corn fritters, queso con chorizo and carne asada fries. Guests at the forthcoming Town & Country location can also expect to enjoy the eatery’s agave-based margaritas – available frozen, on the rocks, and a spicy version that includes jalapenos, as well as a fruit-infused frozen margarita.

Mission Taco Joint Town and Country is slated to open late 2023, but in the meantime, you can still get your taco fix at any of their other St. Louis area locations.
