Swade Cannabis has made history as the first dispensary to sponsor the Tower Grove Farmers’ Market, a move that signals a shift in how cannabis is being integrated into everyday life in Missouri. With a focus on accessibility and community, Swade is bringing its street team to the market each week, offering education and engagement around cannabis in a space where locals already gather.

“For us, normalization happens through everyday moments,” said Brandon Cavanagh, Swade’s director of marketing. “That’s why we’re showing up at places like the Tower Grove Farmers’ Market – spaces where the community already thrives. By being part of that rhythm, we’re showing that cannabis can fit seamlessly into a mindful everyday life, whether that’s your Saturday morning shopping experience, your dinner party, your mid-day hike or your nightlife.”

Cavanagh explained that these efforts are “rooted in curiosity, creativity and community,” emphasizing that Swade’s mission is “not necessarily about pushing products – it’s about sparking ideas and sharing space with people who care about what they consume, where it comes from, and how it makes them feel.”

Beyond their weekly presence, Swade is hosting a series of monthly pop-ups at the market, collaborating with a range of local cultural leaders to spotlight the intersections of cannabis with film, wellness, food, and more. The series launched on April 19 with “Cannabis, Culture & Cinema,” which highlighted the Mound City Film Series. On May 10, “Bloom & Bliss” will bring Mother’s Day floral activations with Urban Buds. Father’s Day weekend, June 14, will feature “Brews, Beats & Sinse,” a relaxed, community-driven event. July 26 offers the “Infused Mocktail Experience,” pairing cannabis beverage education and recipe cards with The Royale. “Ride & Refresh,” a cycling-focused event with Kewl Beans, follows on Aug. 16. The series wraps on September 6 with “High Vibes, Elevated Flavors,” a cannabis-infused cooking event in partnership with Fennel Cooking Studio.

Editor’s note: The headline of this article was updated to clarify that Swade is only sponsoring the market and will not be selling cannabis products at the event.
