Sauce Food Truck Friday is turning up the volume for our biggest event yet.

The Mighty Pines, one of St. Louis’ most popular and accomplished bands, will perform a free concert during the event in the southwest corner of Tower Grove Park, marking the first time the long-running event has featured a local act of this caliber. The hometown favorites will take the stage from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with Food Truck Friday running from 4 p.m. until sundown.

Known for their blend of roots rock, folk, soul and Americana, The Mighty Pines have spent more than a decade building a devoted following throughout St. Louis and beyond. Fronted by singer-songwriter Neil Salsich, whose appearance on NBC’s The Voice introduced the band to a national audience, the group has become one of the region’s most in-demand live acts.

The performance adds a new dimension to an event already known as one of the area’s premier outdoor food gatherings. This Friday will feature more than 25 food trucks and over 10 local vendors, making it the largest Food Truck Friday event to date.

Guests can grab dinner from a wide variety of mobile kitchens, shop from local makers and businesses, and settle in on the lawn for an evening of live music in one of the city’s most picturesque settings.

Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early to explore the food and vendor offerings before The Mighty Pines take the stage. The event takes place at 4501 Southwest Drive, and remaining events this season will be on June 26, Aug. 7, Aug. 21, Sept. 11 and Oct. 2.
