We are seeking a talented and versatile journalist to join our dynamic editorial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about storytelling and who enjoys a mix of writing, editing, photo/video creation and social media management. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, responsive and capable of producing high-quality content under tight deadlines. You’ll need to be confident in the accuracy of your reporting, collaborate effectively with team members, and be proactive in generating fresh ideas. We’re looking for someone who has a deep knowledge of St. Louis’ burgeoning culinary scene. This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the right fit.
Key Responsibilities:

Write, edit, and produce high-quality articles and features related to St. Louis’ food, drink, and lifestyle scene

Shoot and edit photos and videos to accompany written content

Manage social media platforms to engage readers, promote content and grow the magazine’s digital presence

Work quickly to respond to breaking news or evolving storylines in the local food and beverage industry

Collaborate with the editorial team on brainstorming ideas for new content and trends

Ensure all content is accurate, well-researched, and engaging for our readers

Attend local events or meet with sources when necessary to gather information for stories
Qualifications:

Proven experience in journalism, writing, and editing (experience in food, drink, or lifestyle journalism a plus)

Some skills in photo and video production/editing

Comfortable with social media management and content strategy

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for St. Louis and its culinary scene

Attention to detail and commitment to journalistic integrity
